I have known Dr. Bodunrin since my undergraduate studies, but I got the opportunity get closer to him during my masters degree. He’s a devoted, diligent and an unrelenting mentor. What amazes me most is his availability, the way he has made resources and instructions available to us especially via MDBI is quite applaudable , Lest I forget, he’s selfless also.
He taught me the rudiments of academic writing: sourcing for the right information, constructing a standard table, deducing a strong outline, abstract and conclusion formation, and the art of engaging critical thinking in the process of developing the papers.
He’s also patient with learners, especially for a beginner like me, he also made me to believe in myself and to aim higher.
He’s a great researcher and a calm person with a balanced view of the world.
I must confess that it’s a great privilege to be connected to a personality of a virtue like this.

I just had the privilege of being mentored by Dr. Micheal and I wish I had known him before now, I am sure I will not be where are am career wise. I am amazed that in Nigeria we still have passionate and sacrificial people like him who want the best for you, makes you feel your goals are achievable with loads of encouragement, without any charges. He is ready to render every possible help to make your dreams come to past though you must be ready to play your quota, no room for laziness. I appreciate your effort, the little time I have spent has greatly imparted me and I know more impacts are on the way.
Dr. Bodunrin Michael has always been making a great stride when it comes to academics. His zeal towards impacting the young is incomparable.. One thing I have always love about him is the ability to carry others along, and the good heart towards doing all of these. You are an inspiration, and you will forever be.
I have known Dr. Micheal Oluwatosin Bodunrin for seven years. He has nurtured me in my academics journey right from my undergraduate days. He played a huge role during my master’s program and he has been a formidable source of inspiration to me to date. I had the opportunity to meet Dr Michael Bodunrin during my undergraduate studies at the Federal University of Technology Akure in 2013. I became closer to him in 2018 while I was with University of Johannesburg. He happily advised me through my preparation and application for advance degree in the United States. I applied to 5 schools across the globe and he recommended me for all. I was admitted to 4 graduate schools across Germany, Canada and USA. He guided me on making the right choice and accepting the best offer. He has continued to offer support and guidance even though I’m far away from him at the moment. I know scores of people he is currently mentoring and our movement in the right direction is enough testimony of the efficiency of his mentorship. Dr Bodunrin’s contributions to my progress – and other people’s progress – will always be appreciated.
Michael was my supervisor in my final year research project at Wits University and I wouldn’t ask for a better supervisor. He’s very dedicated to his work as his focus levels are very high. He helped me produce good quality work thar boosted my confidence as well. I remember meeting on a Sunday to finish off a test trial for the research project. To me that showed how Michael is highly committed and passionate towards research. I produced a good research project because of Michael’s guidance. Working with him taught me patience, with patience comes embracing the research work, which results in an unwavering passion. Once passion is developed, research work can become an endless journey filled with excitement, joy and satisfaction. Thanks to Michael for providing me with good guidance during my final year of Varsity. The lessons I received from him are still applicable even today at my workplace.
